I painted this for a friend of mine, his dog Bowie is named after David Bowie, so I wanted to do something graphic and cool in the background. Usually, Bowie fan art has the lightning bolt across the face but I thought I’d try using bold lines and color. This is acrylic on a round wood circle canvas. I’m really happy with the way her face turned out, I was tempted to put the “you suck” thought bubble on the art, but decided to skip it and let this piece reflect Bowie the dog’s true nature. I hope this piece does her justice. I kinda think she looks like a super hero in this image!
